Terms & Conditions
Applicable to every order placed through this website. Last updated: 10 August 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Yum Yum Sushi, located at Tiensestraat 90, 3000 Leuven, Belgium.
Company number: BE 0749.589.571
Contact: by phone at 016 44 37 09 or by email at yumyumsushileuven@gmail.com.
2. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to every order you place through this website, for pickup or delivery. By placing an order you accept these terms. They may be updated at any time; the version in force at the time of your order applies.
3. Order and formation of the contract
Your order is formed as soon as you confirm your cart through the website. You immediately receive a confirmation page with an overview of your order, the chosen time, and the total amount.
We do our best to accept every order, but reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example in the event of a technical error, a clearly incorrect price, force majeure, or when we cannot meet the requested time due to high demand. In that case we will contact you by phone or email as soon as possible.
4. Prices
All prices on the website are in euros and include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices; the price in force at the time of your order remains applicable to that order.
5. Payment
At present, every order — both pickup and delivery — is paid on site (upon receiving your order). Paying online in advance is not currently available; once that changes, it will be clearly indicated on the website at checkout.
6. Pickup and delivery
When ordering, you choose between picking up in the Tiensestraat or having your order delivered in Leuven and the surrounding area, always within our opening hours. The time given is a target time — during busy periods it may occasionally differ; we will let you know as soon as possible if it does.
For delivery, it is your responsibility to provide a correct and complete address. If no one is present at the agreed time, we will contact you using the phone number you provided.
7. Right of withdrawal
Because this concerns fresh, quickly perishable food prepared to order, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (which normally applies to online purchases) does not apply — as set out in Article VI.53, 4° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. If you nonetheless have a problem with your order, please contact us — see section 8.
8. Complaints and liability
If something is wrong with your order (e.g. a missing or incorrect item), please let us know as soon as possible via 016 44 37 09 or yumyumsushileuven@gmail.com — we're happy to sort it out together.
Our dishes may contain allergens (including fish, crustaceans and molluscs, soy, sesame, gluten). If you have an allergy or food intolerance, please contact us before ordering so we can inform you correctly.
9. Force majeure
In the event of force majeure (e.g. a technical failure, extreme weather, or understaffing) we may postpone or cancel an order. We will let you know as soon as possible.
10. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, we will first look for a solution together. If we cannot reach one, you can turn to the Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be) or the European ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
